A new Offence

As of Monday 18th August 2008, the new offence of causing death by careless driving was enforced by the Road Safety Act 2006. Careless drivers who cause the death of another person will be held accountable for their actions. We are very experienced in this field of law and will fight for you all the way. However , we will maintain a friendly and approachable manner when helping you through this worrying and difficult time.

Our senior partner , Jeremy Betts , has had experience in dealing with one of the first prosecutions for death by careless driving in Kent. The Client was sentenced to a suspended term of imprisonment and was not given a prison sentence.
